The non-renewable energy used in Australia are coal and gas. The renewable energy used in Australia are hydro, wind, wind, solar photovoltaics, solar energy, wave, and biomass energy, however its 3 main types of renewable energy they use are hydro, wind, and biomass energy.Hydropower Hydropower is used about 63.4 per cent in Australia, because the rainfall is high variability. Also, 80 percent receives average rainfall about 600 millimeters per year. In the past, Australia had more than 120 hydroelectric power station that were operating in 2013; 20 GWh was generated. Hydro power works when falling water is going through the water turbines, it generates hydro power. Next, when the falling water gives pressure on the turbine blades, they rotate a shaft and they make a electric generator work. Then, it converts the action into electric energy, and the electric line carries the electricity to homes. The power plant uses the “dam” that is on a river to store water in a reservoir. It would be worth it, because the wind turbines would produce lots of energy, and maybe the wind farm could be far away from the people’s house, so that is how to solve the problem that wind turbines are noisy. So that means that if you take up lots of space, we could produce lots of energy. This is why I suggest that wind energy is most suitable for wind energy, it would benefit Australia too.In conclusion, Australia has been heavily relying on non-renewable energy resources, such as coal and oil, that is well known to be finite. Therefore, now Australia is walking towards using more renewable resources, for example wind, biomass, solar, hydro and geothermal energy, and is going to save much more money too.
